| Frequently Asked Questions How long are the waiting lists? This is our most frequent question! How long is a peice of string? Because we are breeders who only supply our own-bred animals, it is impossible to state how long you may have to wait. This is because we only breed a certain number of animals per season and inevitably there will be people ahead of you on the list. Add to this the fact that people do drop out and you will hopefully understand why we cannot give you a specific time. Why do you always insist on a telephone number? Because that is our policy. It helps to know who we are dealing with and allows us to have a one-on-one conversation with the prospective purchaser. It also helps us cut down on timewasters Why can't you ship to the United States or Canada? Because we do not have the facility to ship to the United States or Canada at a realistic price or more importantly within a time scale that we consider beneficial to the animals without causing them undue stress. Why don't you accept credit cards or paypal? Because we are hobbyists and breeders, not a shop! Even after all these years we still get those who assume we are a shop or traders. We don't use paypal because we feel the system to not be as secure as we would expect it to be. Why can't you provide a price for all your animals? We provide prices for animals we have available at the time to genuine inquirers who provide the requested telephone number. This is to prevent people using us as a source of information for how much they can sell their animals for, whether they be competitive breeders or a trader.. We cannot provide a price for animals on the waiting lists because that depends on how many we eventually have available and how many people require that species. A simple case of supply and demand. Why are some of your animals more expensive than other breeders and traders? Because unlike traders we only deal in our own captive-bred animals and unlike the majority of breeders we only sell grown-on and guaranteed sexed animals. This is a policy we have maintained throughout our 12 years as breeders. It's what sets us apart from the crowd and why many people return to us time and time again because they know our animals are sufficiently grown-on and the sexes are guaranteed. Why can't we collect the animals from you? Because we are hobbyists and breeders who both work full time with evenings being the little time we have to ourselves and weekends taken up by maintaining our animals. Also because of some of the species we keep we have to consider security. For those who do not wish to use a courier we can arrange a meeting place within reason.
